Kart racing
Spa City Tub Rally
Bathtub kart racing on the real streets and mountain roads of Hot Springs: keep 10 gallons aboard
About the game
A bathtub kart racer in a glossy toy-brick style (the Retro 240p picture setting brings back the original early-3D console look). A captain rides and steers while four bath attendants push. Power-slide through the corners, throw soap and bath bombs, and bribe the judges with bath tickets. Keep at least 10 gallons in the tub to the finish line.
Each of the eight courses follows real streets and mountain drives, built from public map and elevation data and shortened to laps of about a minute. They include Central Avenue past all eight bathhouses in order, Park Avenue at dusk, Whittington Valley, Bridge Street and the switchbacks up Hot Springs Mountain, Goat Rock and West Mountain.
The twelve teams are fictional, inspired by the World Championship Running of the Tubs, held each June on Central Avenue. The game is not affiliated with the event.
Modes: Grand Prix (two cups), Quick Race, Time Trial with ghosts, Rules of the Row (head-to-head heats with judge stops) and Water Fight at Hill Wheatley Plaza.
