About

The idea

Hot Springs has a story few towns can match: thermal springs that drew visitors for centuries, a row of grand bathhouses, a gangster-era nightlife, spring-training baseball, motor courts and lake country. Each game borrows a chapter of that story and turns it into something you can play in a few minutes, right in your browser.

Every game is built from a shared research library of sourced notes on the town's history, buildings, lakes and people. Fact cards in the games cite where each fact comes from.

Open source

Every game is released under the MIT License and developed in its own repository. Each game ships as a single web page: art is drawn in code or painted and bundled with it, sound is made in the browser, and nothing is loaded from other sites.

Your privacy

There are no accounts, ads or tracking cookies. Games save your progress and settings in your own browser, and that data never leaves your device. If you send feedback, we receive only what you type into the form, and we use any email address you give only to reply.

All games are original designs. Real places, schools and businesses appear as setting and history only. No logos are reproduced, and nothing implies endorsement by or affiliation with any of them. School rosters and players are fictional.
