Crazy Raccoon
Hop a raccoon across the gator pits of Hot Springs' 1902 alligator farm to raid snacks for his den
About the game
Gator Farm Dash is an original lane-crossing arcade game at the Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo on Whittington Avenue, which has raised alligators in Hot Springs since 1902. Bandit, a raccoon with a weakness for pecans, sneaks across the farm’s pens to carry snacks home to his den. To cross the water he rides on the backs of swimming gators, and he has to watch their jaws.
Every gator kind behaves differently:
- Paddlers carry you, but their heads bite when the jaws open (a “!” badge warns first).
- Whippers fling you two rows.
- Hatchlings with banded mouths shove you aside.
- Baskers gape on the sand.
- Sleepers in the winter barn lunge when they wake.
- Old Ruthless, a giant gator of farm legend, waits at the end.
Toss a drumstick and a whole row of gators rushes to it, as they do at the farm’s noon feeding shows. Dunk a snack in a steaming spring stone to wash it for double points, the way raccoons do. Bandit’s lives are the rings on his tail.
There are 15 levels across five zones (the Front Pits, the Hatchling Nursery, the Noon Feeding Show, the Winter Barn and a Midnight Raid by flashlight), each with three stars and a hidden “lost 1918 home-run ball”. Clear level 6 to unlock the endless Moonlight Run. Every level ends with a Farm Notebook card: a real fact about the farm, its gators or raccoons, with its source.
Bandit, Old Ruthless and the farm layout are made up. The game is not affiliated with the farm.
